COLOR MY WORLD – Storyacting

Storyacting is a highly interactive program that incorporates the engaging aspects of storytelling with the fun and excitement of putting on a play. The beauty of this combination is it comes from BOOKS. Children ages 3 – 10 love to perform, and I provide opportunities for many of them to come up "onstage" with me and do just that. The audience is a vital part of this program too, for they participate from where they sit adding special effects, sound effects, chants, rhymes, etc. Everyone gets involved!

KALEIDOSCOPE – Stories from Around Our World

Every culture, every nation, everybody- has a story to tell. Folklore and fiction from different parts of our world help us to better understand our similarities and differences. In this diverse storytelling program, children will get a wide range of subject matter to better enrich their lives.

Age appropriate, ranging from Elementary ages to High School and Adult

PEACE PIPE TALES – Native American legends

The Native Americans used stories to teach valuable lessons to their children. They believed their children would remember these stories told to them, and make better choices in life as they grew up. The stories are rich in native culture and carry a special message that we can all learn from.

This program can work in conjunction with storyacting and storytelling depending upon age from Elementary to Adult.

CHILLERS – Stories of mystery and intrigue

Spine-tingling and heart pounding stories that make you think and use your imagination have been around for centuries. What better way to engage the reluctant listener than to share a thrilling story to stimulate a sensation or reaction? All of these stories are tasteful and age appropriate.

This program is available year round and for ALL ages.

Tidbits of Lake County

This is a specific program centering on the highlights of Lake County, IL. I play Caroline Wright, the daughter of Daniel Wright, the first pioneer to make this area his home in the 1800’s. I share stories of the Wright family, the Native Americans who lived here, the history of education in the area, the stopping ground for the Underground Railroad, and the Great Train Robbery. What a memorable way to bring our own history to life! The stories cover almost one hundred years of history in Lake County.

Great for third grade and through adult.
